Factory Shop loses R22,800 to Night-time Robbers
One of the largest businesses in Smithfield (Factory Shop) was broken into on the night of 19 April and goods totalling R22,805 stolen. Among the items taken were cigarettes, cell phones, cameras and phone cards.

Police Swoop on Local Stores
Raids on a number of stores in Smithfield, Zastron and Rouxville during November yielded large quantities of counterfeit goods and outdated foods, all of which were confiscated.
