Roaming Cattle May be Shot
The Municipality has threatened to act against roaming cattle after reports that they were becoming an ever increasing danger, particularly on the main road through the poort on the approach into Smithfield.
A number of cattle owners from Mofulatshepe attended a meeting in the Smithfield Town Hall, called by the Municipality.
Mr Nkosana Buyeye, Acting Manager of Commercial Services, warned owners that traffic officers could be empowered to shoot animals found on the road or that had caused accidents.
